Until recently, common practice was to deburr each face of extruded profiles separately. New process simultaneously deburs inner & outer faces and enormously reduces processing time by up to 98%. Basis of method is novel construction of brush.

Information is given on machine (type Gratomat MS) produced by West German firm Haus Leuzl and Co. KG, which has one position for loading components and three positions for deburring. Each working position has independent drive, which ensures opt. direction of rotation and deburring rate. Rapid acting clamping device can be operated manually or automatically by means of loading devices. Machine is produced in two models for components of dia. 80-400 mm.
