A tableware having sterilization and heat transfer function is composed of a magnetic member made of stainless steel, a silver member formed integrally on the surface of the magnetic member by heat fusion and performing sterilizing action, a freezing and heating medium, and a freezing and heating unit. The freezing and heating medium is accommodated in the freezing and heating unit. The freezing and heating unit is detachably coupled to the magnetic member, and has a plurality of magnet members at the upper surface. A hole is formed at the lower part of the freezing and heating unit, and is opened and closed by a cap. Taguchi and TQM. Quality issues for surface engineered applications
SURF System example is coated cold forming tool. Using design of experiment techniques in industrial environment, it was shown that titanium nitride coating was only effective at reducing tool wear in forming operation if combined with pre-polishing of tool nose. Not only was improvement quantifiable using Weibull characteristic life, it also showed that population density function changed dramatically, indicating that failure mode had altered between best and rest of tools - apparently increasing variance as well as mean response. Compares previous analysis to one based on Taguchi's design ideas. Importance of choosing applicable quality loss function is highlighted.Use of Weibull characteristic is demonstrated for functional limit in quality loss function. Relative loss of quality can be reduced by > 40% even considering 25% increase in tool cost by using polished and coated forming tools compared to uncoated tools.
Taguchi design for composite electrodeposition of nickel-molybdenum alloy
The theory of the Taguchi design method is described. Bath composition and plating parameters were optimised by means of orthogonal tests. The deposits obtained exhibited a greatly reduced hydrogen overpotential.
