EN was aerosol dep'n onto copper partly patterned with photoresist. Problems were experienced with deposit uniformity when using Triton X wetting agent. Tannic acid can modify surface energy of photoresist and increase amount of stannous ions on surface. Contact wetting angles are shown, as is plating rate in various conditions. Sprayed EN deposit is characterised by X-ray diffraction & DSC. Potentiodynamic scans are shown for massive Ni, Watts Ni & sprayed EN. Ion chromatography was used to confirm increased amount of adsorbed Sn(II) ions. Corrosion resistance of the sprayed EN was superior to electroplated or massive Ni. 12 refs
